I.Must.Not.Think.Too.Much.

I am the sort of gal who loves to receive flowers and i used to envy many gals who received bouquet of flowers during the V-day festive.

Yesterday, i saw many gals holding flowers on their hand, along Orchard and even in the train. Now, i don’t feel envy anymore. I expect nothing from my man either.

I wanted to have Sambal Steak so we chose Jack’s Place for dinner. Can you believe that i ask for the main menu? It was only last night that i learnt that on festives like, Vday, Xmas and NYE, etc, dining restaurants usually serve festive menu. Faintz! What’s more interesting was, when the appetizer came, then i realised that I was actually having a vday dinner like many other couples who were celebrating their vday, and it was not just another usual dinner i deemed to be. Haha! I might sound exaggerating, believe it or not, i have not spent Vday before. Ha! =p

Sigh. I felt that im such a lousy girlfriend because, i bought his gift on the Vday itself before i met him and i even got all the sizes wrong. Sigh. BUT! BUT! BUT! I made up my bad by buying breakfast for my man this morning. =p

While i was in bed, i felt thankful that we were still together after some bad times recently. And i told him this afternoon that:

Me: darling, i really count my blessing that i can still hug you to sleep for another day…

Him: No, you din hug me to sleep. You were already sound asleep.

Both of us broke a smile.

What im trying to say across was, im glad that we are still together but he sounded a little mindful that i din hug him to sleep. Or perhaps, he was just trying to be funny. He really does behave like a little kiddo at times and i cant help falling in love with him a little bit more. Hehe. =p

And so…my 14 February 2009 was spent with a fair mix of a usual weekend and a light-hearted Vday.

With darling around, i felt peaceful and relaxed. Happy. :)

…So what are the best gifts to give on Valentine’s Day?  I know many consider the classic bouquet of red roses, box of sweet chocolates and romantic dinner (probably in a restaurant with an excellent view of the sea or the city skyline) as the best gifts on Valentine’s Day, but the truth is, the best gift you can give your Valentine on V-Day is time.  Spend quality time with that person and be reminded what a blessing it is to love and be loved.  I’m not saying don’t give a gift, I’m saying the cost of the gift doesn’t really matter, it’s the thought that counts…

Hmm…so, the best gift is quality time?

People ask me how am i going to spend my v day? I answered with I Don’t Know.

Guess im just over the lovelydovey thingy. Or, maybe im just plain lazy.
